چکیده

. Abstract Carrier to Noise Ratio (CNR) has been investigated for radio over fiber systems including the effects of variation in the laser linewidth and RF oscillator linewidth in this paper. Optical Single sideband signal is studied as it has tolerance for power degradation due to dispersion effects over a length of fiber. Investigations have been made out for Radio frequency of 30 GHz, with a continuous wave (CW) laser source of 1550 nm. CNR has been evaluated using Power Spectral Density(PSD) function.CNR is studied varying laser linewidth and RF oscillator linewidth for 2 Km fiber with chromatic dispersion D=17 ps/Km nm.

Multi-Band Radio-over-Fiber System Using Single Phase Modulator to Support Fixed and Mobile End Users

We propose a bidirectional Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) system with multi-band signals generation technique using a single phase modulator (PM). At central office (CO), a PM is used to modulate optical carrier and generated signal is transmitted through a single mode fiber (SMF). At base station (BS), three different signals are generated from the received optical signal, including 60 GHz millimeter ...

A Full-Duplex, Dual-Polarization 10Gbps Radio over Fiber system with wavelength reuse for upstream signal

This study presents a full-duplex Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) system providing the users' wireless access with a bit rate of 10 Gbps over 40 GHz radio carrier. This system can be used in a centralized radio access network (C-RAN) architecture because we provide a fully analog front haul link between central station and base station. We can consider it as infrastructure between remote radio heads (RR...

Unwanted Effects on the Transmission Characteristics of Radio over Fiber (ROF) in the Optical Communication Networks

This paper has presented the different data transmission limitations in radio over fiber communication systems such as total losses and fiber dispersion. These limitations can be solved by Soliton transmission technique. Signal to noise ratio, bit error rate, and optical signal to noise ratio can be investigated. The transmission bit rate per channel can be analyzed with using both space divisi...

Simulation and Analysis the Performance of 3970 Km DWDM Transmission Link Employing Optimized Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

In this paper first we try to analysis the behavior ofthe SOAs in the optical networks and then have proposed anumerical simple model to simulate the behavior of thesemiconductor optical amplifiers. After that by employing thismodel as inline amplifier for a DWDM optical system, we havesimulated the transmission of 10 channels with bit rate 10 Gb/sup to distance 3970 km with RZ-DPSK modulation ...

Effect of Nonlinear Phase Variation in Optical Millimetre Wave Radio over Fibre Systems

In this paper, we propose an optical millimetre wave radio-over-fibre (mm-wave RoF) system that uses a dual drive Mach Zehnder modulator (DD-MZM), which is biased at the maximum transmission biasing point, to generate an optical double sideband-suppressed carrier. The input to the DD-MZM are binary phase shift keying (BPSK), quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), 8-phase shift keying (8-PSK) and...
